TUBING!!

We go every year with our friends in the neighborhood {and more} tubing to Soldier Hollow.  It's so nice to have a tow rope and not to have to hike up the mountain to tube down.
we had a HUGE group and it was so fun!  I had my 2 nephews come with us and Cory and Boston came up after they went skiing.  It was a perfectly snowy day and we Loved it.

hot chocolate & lunch in the lodge afterwards...

Christmas morning...

awww, the magic of Christmas day!

i loved this year {and of course every year} my twins were at the Cute age of excitement and awe as we baked our cookies for santa on Christmas eve. we were tracking Santa all night on Norad, and Boston was so cute with them too, telling them to hurry and get to bed, because he thought he heard the sleigh. haha {it worked}

i love everything about Christmas morning, i love the anticipation, the sleepless child who wakes up every hour and asks if it's time yet {Boston}, the jammies that you wear ALL DAY, the big breakfast, etc...

we had a wonderful day filled with yummy food, family, movies {the Chipmunks},games, toys and toys and more toys!

and of course the joy and love that you feel for others throughout the season.. may it last & last forever!

while Olivia was baking a cake in her "easy bake oven"  she told me it was for Jesus' birthday.  How cute is she?  We asked our kids that day what gifts they would give to Jesus, and Olivia said that she would "keep the sacrament" haha  I'm sure she meant the Commandments.  she is seriously the sweetest little thing!

Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas...

we make our kids wait by the door until everyone is ready. {dad}
then  they all go out at the same time.

did i mention that my kids didn't wake up until 9am!!!

every year santa hides a present usually at the bottom of their stocking and he sends them on a scavenger hunt... he sent them all over the house and they finally ended up in the garage and found BIKES!!

Boston got his new mtn bike with clips {can't wait to take him mtn biking} and livi & hayes got these new bikes that have no training wheels and no pedals.   this will help them with balance so they can learn how to ride without training wheels.   It was too cold to ride outside so they rode in the garage. ;)

Boston was hilarious all morning with his "Cell phone"  he is now a multi tasker... playing with his helicopter while talking on the phone...

the "Squeakuel"

We loved this movie!

we especially loved the Chipettes...  this is a movie that we could watch over and over...

Grandma Hansen's Birthday/Chrismas party...

we are so lucky to have 2 of the most amazing grandparents!  Cory's grandpa and grandma hansen are so wonderful. they have so many grand/great grandchildren i don't even have a clue to how many...

The hansen family always celebrates her birthday on the 23rd in her home, but this year we have seriously gotten so big that we had to be in the cultural hall a couple days early.  It 's the best Christmas party of the year!  we had pizza, visited with family, played games, honored grandma by watching a DVD of her beautiful life, the cousins acted out the nativity, and Santa arrived and brought lots of presents for each child.

Grandma is "85" and just beautiful.  She spoils each and everyone of her grandkids and great grandkids, she is truly one amazing woman.

i love that Olivia {who is their great grand-daughter} sat beside them eating cake and ice cream and just chatting away.
This picture is priceless...

this was the "lefty righty" game.  my little ones were confused, hayes wondered why he had to keep giving away his presents. haha  it was comical...

the nativity with camden. ;)

santa came to visit all the great grandkids & he is awesome, he knows these kids so well...wink wink

now time for grandma to open her gifts for her birthday.  I loved how Olivia was sitting right beside her the whole time she was opening her presents.  She loves her great grandma.

ski day...

I can't believe my baby boy is big enough to ski by himself...
 ALL DAY!

yep, that's right we dropped him and his buddy Luke off for the day to ski.   I love that he is so experienced with skiing and loved that he was being dropped off... he's so big!!

these two were LOVING it... and they even got their ski fixed at the tune shop all by themselves.... i love it!

the tooth fairy came to...

Haysie Bugs...

we know it's a little weird.  he's just 5!  but we went to the dentist and he said it was fine to come out this early.  haha
he may be waiting for a year until the new one comes in though.  that should be interesting...

hayes is so excited!

Taylor Christmas party...

we had our annual Taylor Christmas party on sunday.  Cory made his delicious Prime Rib dinner and we ate like KINGS!  It was delicious!
Thanks to all for bringing the fabulous dishes and desserts.

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Cory, played a new fun jewish game that Kelly brought called "Dreidel"
the cousins did the darling Nativity, and then the cousins gift exchange.

This year as brothers and sisters in Cory's family, instead of gifts we all did a service project.  We put together 225 hygiene kits and 150 newborn kits for the church humanitarian aid.  It was such a great experience to work together and especially for the kids to help out in such a great service.

the birthday boy...

turns "38"...

my handsome hubby told his kids that all he wanted for his birthday was for them to do a good deed or an act of service to someone else & then tell him what they did...

so Todd and I decided to send out an email to family and friends asking them instead of gifts in Cory's honor do an act of service or a kind deed to someone and then text, email, facebook, call him, etc... this didn't need to be something huge.

it was such an awesome birthday experience for him!

he received so many texts and emails of many acts of service,  it was PERFECT!

here are just a few...

~gave money to a homeless man
~took back a neighbors garbage cans
~went to the cannery
~2 people did work in the temple
~didn't fight with a dumb driver in the wal mart parking lot {haha}
~babysat so parents could go out
~gave money to a family for christmas
~gave money to poor little Filipino kids
~let someone take the parking space they wanted to park in
~open the door for elderly people
 on and on and on...

Thanks to you all for thinking of others on his special day!  He enjoyed reading all of these texts and emails while skiing with Boston all afternoon.

our kids loved thinking of anything they could do for him all day, they were so cute to him.  One thing about Cory, he is the most giving person.  I couldn't have asked for a better father & best friend.  he has totally made my life Perfect...

I love you baby...

Hayes & Olivia's Christmas Program...

...was at BYU and it is the cutest little program.  This year they totally performed and were front and center!  They sang the cutest songs and they even had their own little parts.

Hayes' favorite song is "i  like to be a drummer"  and he has been singing it all day and is SO loud.  It's hilarious.

Now we are out  for Christmas break... No school for 2 weeks!!  We are loving it!!

I have loved reading all the comments from everyone on my post "Who are you?"  I love the blogging community and can't wait to spend some down time looking at all your blogs... it is so fun to actually see and know who is lurking around. Thanks for commenting!

who are you?

my friend Jane did this a while back and it was so fun to see who was checking in on her blog... so i decided i want to know who's checking in on mine. I love meeting new people! I know this is the busy time of year to try it, but o well...

Who are you? Is anyone checking from around the world. jane, i see you checking in from the Phillipines! ;)

please leave a comment, i would love to meet you and see who you are and where your from...

don't be bashful!

~oh and check back often. Starting in january, i will be doing some give a ways!

the elves came...

It's tradition in my house ever since i was little...

that the Elves come and drop off a treat to the kids if their being good!
"Buddy" must have told Santa and the other Elves that the Taylor kids were being good this year, because they brought jammies!
{boston was sleeping in and the little ones couldn't wait to eat their treats :)}

Boston's Christmas program

Boston's program was last week and was so cute.  Each class did a skit to a song and I have to admit the Kindergarten class was the best... They did the Nativity with the Jr. Choir and sang "Who could imaginge a king" while Mary & Joseph were holding the baby Jesus... so ADORABLE!

Hansen "Cousins" Christmas Party...

Is one of my favorite parties.  We played the funniest game where the spouse was on the other side of this sheet and they had to show body parts {finger, nose, ear, toe etc..} and we had to guess if it was our husbands!  Haha  I only missed one!  It was hilarious... we always have a good time eating delicious hansen food and then playing the white elephant gift exchange...

"The Princess and the Frog"...

pretty much the cutest disney movie.

we loved this one, and after the movie i asked my "new" little 5 yr olds what their favorite part was, and Olivia said "when they kissed" haha

seriously so cute, we can't wait to see it again...
